Penetration Testing
An authorised cyber-attack, carried out by our expert in-house team.
Penetration testing, also known as ‘Pen Testing’ is an authorised cyber-attack, carried out by our expert in-house teams, against an organisations or businesses network or applications.
Typically, our teams target servers, web apps, external network infrastructure as well as mobile applications. These attacks are carried out using both human intelligence and software which is designed to discover security vulnerabilities and security issues. This is an increasingly popular service, which we deliver with complete professionalism across both public sector and private sector organisations of all shapes and sizes. The range of attacks we carry out vary depending on the target organisation and the systems they run and clients can expect a combination of external and internal attacks – with and without the alerting the security teams of your organisation.
The first step in any realistic Penetration Test is to define the goals and methodology of the tests, before we begin gathering intelligence about your network. The next steps are to understand how your systems will respond to an attack, before we take the steps of gaining and maintaining access to your network and systems. Once the attack is complete, a full debrief is given which details everything from access points, vulnerabilities, time spent with access to the system and any details which could have been stolen. The results of this test help keep your organisation both safe and secure.
If you have any questions about this service – or how our security teams can help protect your organisation from malicious attacks, please do get in touch and we will be more than happy to help.
